Description
This medium up swing arrangement of Tones For Joan’s Bones turns the original on its head, stretching the concepts of the melody based around 5ths and the pedal in the bass as far as they can possibly go. The entire inspiration for the chart coming from a pun notwithstanding, your trombone section (and bari player!) will relish the chance to play something other than backgrounds, hits, and pads, and is an amazing choice if your band has a strong trombone section. As a chart that starts off very mellow, and ends with a lot of energy, this would be a great choice for an opener or closer.
Instrumentation
Standard Big Band (5/4/4/4)
Additional Info
