Description
A lot of fun, and a hip chart that HS and college bands alike will be able to handle. Takes Coltrane’s Impressions and Miles’ So What as inspiration and spins out from that with some punchy hip hop and jagged swing BGs, taking the familiar 2 chord structure through all 12 key areas over it’s 32 measure form. Changes are provided for all horns, so the 2 soloists can change up, and any player comfortable on the 12 dorian modes should enjoy this. Starts with impressionist rubato paraphrase of melody by piano, and also has a drum and horn hits outdo after the second solo.
