Description
This haunting Randy Crenshaw original Celtic ballad is about “The Troubles”, the violence that Belfast, Northern Ireland suffered through for many years, told from the perspective of two Belfast mothers who've lost sons in the conflict. The piece, originally written for a documentary film on the subject that was never released, is a beautiful feature for either one or two strong soprano or mezzo-soprano soloists who can sing in Celtic style. Available in a TTBB vocal version, a cappella, or with rhythm section accompaniment tracks and parts, and tin whistle. As recorded by the vocal group Wahoo Do-Re on their 2009 album “Greatest Hits That Never Were”.
