Flying

Johnaye Kendrick’s song tells the story of a girl who has triumphed over adversity and doubt, a girl who’s “not scared of flying anymore.” Of course, “flying” refers to any and all hardships women face in today’s world. Jasperse arranged “Flying” for Western Michigan University’s Gold Company. Kendrick’s recording of “Flying” is the title track of her 2018 solo recording.
