Paolo Orlandi
After his completion of studies at the ScuolaCivica with Tony Arco in Milano, Italy, Paolo moved to New York. He was in New York for more than 10 years, playing with many resident musicians. He earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Jazz Performance from the City College of New York and eventually taught at the City College of New York. During his time in New York he studied with Nasheet Waits, Adam Cruz, Tony Moreno and Portinho.
Paolo is also a member of the Simone Daclon trio along with bassist Marco Vaggi, and a frequent collaborator of Grammy-nominated pianist Giovanni Ceccarelli and Berlin-based saxophonist Ben Kraef. Paolo endorses Canopus drums.
