Description
Arranger’s/Director’s Notes – The introduction is conducted with the soloist improvising briefly on the sustained notes. At 19 the Swing/Latin rhythmic feel begins and continues to the end. This arrangement features a variety of challenging chord cycles through both swing and Latin feels with some odd meter moments.
From Lieb – This composition is one of my earliest tunes using fourth chordal harmony, derived from the piano style of McCoy Tyner.
