Description
The Sea means not only oceans but the birthplace of life, the mother of us all. The voicing called combinations of diminished chords are used all over the points. Natural 13th notes on dominant chords are very remarkable and important. Listen carefully the balance of the sounds. Use diminished scales for modal improvisation.
Substitute Baritone Sax for Bassoon, Trombone 3 for French Horn and Trumpet 5 could be omitted. The groove is even 8th funk with Latin flavor.
Be careful about sound clusters. The lead notes should be always played a bit louder. Letter D is open for ad lib solos by either Trumpet 2 or Trumpet 5, if available, or Piano or E. Guitor. Mutes for brasses must be used.
