Description
From the Oxford Book of Carols, this little-known early Renaissance Christmas song (complete with the archaic spelling of the title!) is arranged as it might have been performed by a European town wind band and choir in the 1500’s. There’s a repeating burden or refrain, with verses sung over that. Available in TBB male choir or SAT mixed choir versions, with optional recorder or flute and hand percussion parts (as recorded by the Haven Quartet).
