What Else Can I Tell You is a straight eights piece that takes inspiration from heavy rock, featuring a trumpet and tenor solos. The piece is built around a longer, repeated melody that is passed slowly around through the band, culminating in a heavy send-off into the first solo. It moves into a minimal section that releases a lot of the energy, before gearing back up for an energetic, chaotic trumpet solo. The piece is meant to reflect on a conversation that has run its course, with the material degrading solely into the heavy groove as a means to exit the conversation in haste.
